1. Who we are
Polish Sounds ("we", "our", "us") is an independent mobile application published by Andres [last name] at support@polishsounds.app. The app is available on iOS and Android and helps English-speaking learners study Polish pronunciation.
2. What data we collect
Data you provide
We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information through the app itself.
Data collected automatically
Crash reports (Sentry) If the app crashes, we collect anonymous crash data including: the error type, a stack trace, device model, operating system version, and app version. This data does not include your identity or any personal information. Crash reporting is provided by Sentry (sentry.io) and is used exclusively to fix bugs.
Advertising (Google AdMob) The free version of the app displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) and general location (country) to serve contextually relevant ads. This collection is subject to your consent where required by law (see Section 5 — Your choices).
No advertising data is collected if you have purchased the "Remove Ads" upgrade.
Data we do NOT collect
- Your name, email, or any contact information
- Your lesson progress (stored only on your device)
- Your voice or microphone input
- Your location beyond the country level used by AdMob

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy (Sentry for crash reporting, Google for advertising).
4. Data storage and retention
Progress data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. It never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or use the "Reset Progress" option in Settings.
Crash reports are retained by Sentry for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Ad identifiers are handled by Google per their Privacy Policy.
5. Your choices
Advertising consent (EU/EEA/UK users)
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, we will ask for your consent before showing personalised ads, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive. You can change your consent at any time by going to Settings → Privacy.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS users)
On iOS 14.5 and later, we ask for your permission before accessing your advertising identifier (IDFA), as required by Apple. You can change this at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Remove Ads
Purchasing the "Remove Ads" upgrade ($2.99, one-time) removes all advertising from the app and stops all advertising data collection.
Reset Progress
You can delete all locally stored progress data at any time via Settings → Reset Progress.
6. Children's privacy
Polish Sounds is not directed at children under 13 (US) or under 16 (EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@polishsounds.app and we will delete it promptly.

If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, we process data under the following legal bases:

8. Your rights (EU/EEA/UK)
Under GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Since we hold almost no personal data (crash reports are anonymous; progress is on-device only), most requests can be fulfilled by uninstalling the app. For anything else, contact support@polishsounds.app. We will respond within 30 days.
9. California residents (CCPA)
We do not sell personal information. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request deletion. Contact support@polishsounds.app.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
